All Roads Lead to Video…

Or so it seems these days.

As a producer, and a production company, trained and well versed in the all things photography, I, and we, are now working more and more in the realm of video. And by video I mean, feature films/documentaries/online/commercials/tv/new media, etc. You name it, it’s coming our way. Excellent.

Welcome to the world of video – larger productions, though not always larger budgets; stronger personalities, though not always translated into greater creative output; and longer days, which means nothing more than less sleep. That said, we’re not entirely pessimistic! Video productions might be a bigger beast, but the reward is mirrored by the effort. We get to work on projects that mean something, inspire, make you laugh, and spread a message – a clear and purposeful message. It’s brilliant.

So what you ask, has been going on at Found Productions? We just wrapped an amazing online video campaign for a company called Regus. If you have been in a NYC taxi lately, I’m sure you’ve seen their previous commercials. For all of you who don’t have the luxury, or need, you can see them here:

The forthcoming spots are guaranteed to blow these out of the water and make you laugh for, and with, the plight of the professional.

Be well. do well. pass it on.

New York City to Los Angeles and back …

Hi friends!

Guess what we FOUND?

Early last month, we worked with Target to shoot their in-store signage for 2010. The two productions were shot by James Merrell and Melanie Acevedo. We ran two shoots concurrently at Canoe Studios for 7 days, then split to travel to Brooklyn for 3 days on location. I can’t say more than this, but from this shoot, there does exist an interpretive dance video made to George’s Michaels’ ‘Careless Whisper’. This is what happens when the work is finished at 2pm, and a room full of high-energy creatives take advantage of their talents. Impressive.

Here is a shot of James’ team on day 10.

We needed one more photograph to adorn the wall as a prop for our last shot.

Following the big Target shoot, we jumped a flight to LA just in time to avoid the wet weather of NYC, and take in the heatwave in LA. With temperatures in the 90′s it was a welcome treat for late October.

We spent two days with Walmart at the Disney Oak Ranch and Newhall Orchards. Shot by Amy Neunsinger.

The weekend was bliss! I took in my first screening of Fiona’s Script, a feature film I co-produced with Brynn Gelbard last summer in the Bay Area. Watch for it at a festival near you in the upcoming months!

Following the weekend, we jumped into Burt’s Bees Oral Care campaign, shot by Chris Craymer. We spent two days at a beautiful mansion in the hills of La Canada Flintridge.

We’re back in NYC, and in the office. See you soon!
