The Greater Good. Canon’s “Beyond the Still” competition

Late last month I had the privilege of joining forces with Jason Slack and Chris Kent to produce the 4th episode in Canon’s “Beyond the Still” competition.

The concept is great – take the last frame, a still photograph, and interpret it within the context of your own story, and create a 4 minute film.

The production was … a Challenge!

New York is an amazing place to be a producer, but if I had a dollar for every time I mumbled the words “if only I were in Ohio” on pre-production, I would be somewhere on vacation. HA!

Producing big budget ideas on a dime is extremely difficult in NYC. Read about the trials and triumphs of this production in detail here.

Overall, it was a lot of work, but a great reward. Chris and Jason are an amazing duo with great potential. I look forward to building a friendship and a professional relationship with these gentlemen.
