Greetings!
The end of 2009 was a slam for Found Productions! We joined forces with the great folks of Right Arm to tackle the photography needs of retail mogul Talbots. Early in December, we split production, leaving 1/2 our team in NYC while taking the other 1/2 to Turks and Caicos to shoot swimwear. As an island member of the British West Indies, the transition from American soil to Providenciales (the largest of the 8 Turks & Caicos islands) was relatively smooth.
We shot all of our images on the beautiful landscape of the island of Providenciales. We were on both public beaches, and in private villas. No where in the Caribbean can you find water as picturesque as what we captured.
All images were shot by the talented and traveled Anders Overgaard.
It’s a priviledged reality we live when you can show up to work in your bikini. ha!

Happy New Year everyone, I hope 2010 is a feast!

Hi friends!
Guess what we FOUND?
Early last month, we worked with Target to shoot their in-store signage for 2010. The two productions were shot by James Merrell and Melanie Acevedo. We ran two shoots concurrently at Canoe Studios for 7 days, then split to travel to Brooklyn for 3 days on location. I can’t say more than this, but from this shoot, there does exist an interpretive dance video made to George’s Michaels’ ‘Careless Whisper’. This is what happens when the work is finished at 2pm, and a room full of high-energy creatives take advantage of their talents. Impressive.
Here is a shot of James’ team on day 10.

We needed one more photograph to adorn the wall as a prop for our last shot.
Following the big Target shoot, we jumped a flight to LA just in time to avoid the wet weather of NYC, and take in the heatwave in LA. With temperatures in the 90’s it was a welcome treat for late October.
We spent two days with Walmart at the Disney Oak Ranch and Newhall Orchards. Shot by Amy Neunsinger.

The weekend was bliss! I took in my first screening of Fiona’s Script, a feature film I co-produced with Brynn Gelbard last summer in the Bay Area. Watch for it at a festival near you in the upcoming months!
Following the weekend, we jumped into Burt’s Bees Oral Care campaign, shot by Chris Craymer. We spent two days at a beautiful mansion in the hills of La Canada Flintridge.
We’re back in NYC, and in the office. See you soon!
xx

Hello friends,
A lot has happened since our last posting! We have been all over New York and the country location scouting, casting, producing – creating – in the past few months. We’ve worked on photo shoots and film productions large and small. We’re building momentum here on the East Coast, so stay close for new and exciting adventures in the future.
Back in July we worked closely with A76 productions to execute a Campbell’s campaign. It was a privilege to work with the talented, and I must add, well-dressed, Andric. Check out the final shot below.

Big Slurp
Doubling up as work and a quick vacation, Found Productions morphed into Found Locations. We left the Big Apple and headed to Colorado for a little R&R as well as location scouting for our friends at Land Rover. They needed a few windy mountain roads, which was the perfect excuse for an escape to the mountains.

And finally back in NYC we teamed up again with A76 Productions to shoot the first 3 episodes of Oliver Irving’s web series Life Is Just A Game. Oliver is an extremely talented writer/director. He and the main character, played by Mike Peace, flew in from England for the shoot. We were working on a very low budget in a short short period of time, but in the end, created a great product and made some amazing friends along the way.

Fall is here, so stay close!

Thanks to the recommendations of many of you, I finally made it to an Adhesive event! Last night we all braved the rain and enjoyed the climate and the company at the Frying Pan on the west side. I met a handful of great contacts, and most importantly, cool people.
Check out Cecilia Marshall’s Art Produce blog HERE. I’m very excited to delve into her blog archives and read her thoughts and experience in our lovely industry.
Here are a few more talented photographers I’ve had the privilege of encountering:
Adam Cantor – I definitely recommend the “living room” series
David Paul Larson – Fashion, capital “F”
Marianne Rafter, – awesome portraits/headshots and lifestyle
Jeremy Harris – rock and roll and everything else. Plus another SF ex-pat.
Happy Wednesday ya’ll!
xx

Early this year I hit the ground running and headed out to the mean streets of Manhattan to find new and interesting locations for Gavin Thomas and Rap Up Magazine. The best find? A tiny, cluttered, yet awesome, ancient garage in China Town. In addition to being able to shoot in their workspace, we discovered the wonder of Chinese bakeries and the $.30 coffee and egg danish breakfast! Yum?
Here are the final images below:

Happy Hunting,

I recently had the priviledge of coming on board with Right Arm Productions to assist with GQ’s Comedy Shoot at the Standard Hotel in NYC. It was a long day, but a quick in and out, and a great job done by all! All photographs were taken by the talented Paola Kudacki.
To read the article and learn more about the shoot, visit GQ’s site here: Keep It Light

Found Productions went on Sabbatical from film following the completion of Fiona’s Script in August of 2008.
The good news is, we’re dusting off the projector and ready for the show.
Now open for business in New York and worldwide.

I just wrapped an extreme-makeover-esque design project/production with Luke Vahle and R.I.P. Domino Magazine. Check out a few snapshots of my new loft in Astor Place.
Ok, it’s not my new loft, but it’s looking sharp regardless.
hah!

Thanks to everyone who jumped on board last minute to pull together a wonderful shoot with Laura Crosta and Yahoo Mail in San Francisco.
Everybody did a great job, but we all agreed that our stylist Clair Mack was a standout for her ability to create an amazing background with her vintage props and frames.
Next time you login to Yahoo, look for the image below!

Fat Joe and Gavin Thomas on location in Soh
I had the privilege of scouting a location for Gavin Thomas’ shoot with Fat Joe and Rap Up magazine on Monday. We were fortunate to have a supportive ensemble of bar regulars in the background helping the shoot run smoothly.
Thanks to Jennifer and Brian at the Spring Lounge for letting us utilize their space!
Keep track of Gavin Thomas here, and watch for the Fat Joe pictures in an upcoming Rap-Up magazine.
